How sharp is this!
Love how this beam light turned out- what a great focal point! Perfect way to add a touch of "farmhouse" to a kitchen- using a reclaimed, hand hewn, 100+ year old barn beam!
Thanks for sharing your completed project with us.

Sooo cool! Love it!

We did something similar last year with our main floor remodel. The beam is from the barn on the farm where my husband grew up.

Here are a few work in progress shots of a home in Romeo that we sourced beams for. The project started when they opened up a wall and saw one of the homes original beams. From there they wanted to add additional beams to bring out the original character of the home. Cant wait to see the finished product. Looks amazing! ... See MoreSee Less

We came across this on a group site and wanted to take a minute to say thanks to everyone! There is no bigger compliment for us than when someone comes in and tells us that a friend, family member or total stranger told them they had to check out our shop. Thanks for all the support, we really appreciate it! Also keep those project pictures coming, we love to see them all. 😃 ... See MoreSee Less

In all of the barns we look at, we find little pieces of Michigan's history. We found these in a barn in Imlay City. Erb-Restrick Lumber (closed), Sachs Hardware (closed), Mortimer & Son Lumber ( still open), Erb Lumber (closed). These businesses helped fuel the growth of our state before the big box stores ever existed.

What hardware or lumber store do you remember going to that isnt around any more? The place that seemed to have everything and had employees that knew all about building and repairs.

Barnes-Hargreaves Hardware on Huron St in Pontiac. They even had ice skates and every winter we’d trade in our too small ones for “new” used ones in a bigger size

Still have Orr hardware in North Branch. The store is family owned forever and they know so much.

Erb Lumber must have stretched out to Up North too because that rings a bell with me from childhood. TC or nearby.

Still have Kandt Lumber nail apron from Dearborn. (Closed long ago)

Frentz & Sons in Royal Oak (still open).

Wix Lumber...

What our Customers are saying about us …..

Such a neat place! Awesome products, fair prices, and super nice guys! We will be back!.

Stella Maria

Sometimes you just need old hand hewn beams or circular saw marks on a piece of wood. The prices are good enough also to grab a few more neat boards while you are there.

Essen Davis

Reclaimed Michigan is a great store, the staff are friendly and they have a lot of reclaimed barn wood, barn doors, unique furniture and industrial items for sale! I used some barn wood to build a head board.

Paul Ballmann

Great prices! Awesome staff! I know nothing about wood and these guys were very helpful and patient.
